the data is obtained by only people who expose the matches profile etc
and the symbol itself is rather defining itself "~" means approximation
however its kinda cool that this site provide it
for rough estimations

You have to have played that hero recently and there's a bunch of other factors that im not too sure on that they take into account. Opendota says im the 29th highest ranked Lich player. It's very rough and inaccurate, I wouldn't put too much thought into it.

opendota rankings used to actually mean something, now they're broken.
