    Regular doto players, do you have a stiff neck, shoulders, back, hips?

      Yep I'm a block of ice for how rigid my back is, but that might be cuz I'm a tense person in general too. Bad posture doesn't help for sure either.

          Unless you are a girl with massive tits you shouldnt be having neck or shoulder problems. Unless you are seriously over weight and your gut is like ogre magi's you shouldnt have back pains. If you are over 50 then you certainly shouldnt be looking at dotabuff forum or playing dota.

            I'm 20 yo 97 kg of pure muscle you little twink. I just tense up while playing sometimes which gets my shoulders and neck all stiff.

              When im playing games i can play till my eyes get tired/being sleepy.
              But when i work im getting tired in hour unless i really enjoy what im doing which is very rare.
              I dont know why tho :S

                I had neck/shoulder pain when I used to sit on a chair or ground, but now I'm sitting in an armchair and I've forgotten about pain

                  My advice would be to buy a good gaming chair if you can afford it, adjusting your setup so that your monitor is at eye level is also important and so is taking regular breaks when you play. Due to the way Dota works, you can easily take a 5 minute break everytime you are queuing for a game.

                    Parma the gaming chair’s impact is overrated. IMO any decent quality office chair would be sufficient
                    I get stiff around the lower spinal area whenever I play Dota. For FPS games like CSGO, it’s the upper back. Idk why, for the most part my posture is the same

                        do you sit on a stool and/or with your legs up? i used to have back pains in these areas when sitting in stupid poses with no back support, by the end of the day it hurt unless i was in a very specific pose and it made falling asleep pretty hard. it went away when i stopped sitting with my legs up all the time and tried to consciously correct my posture (also my roommate left for summer and i got his chair which actually had a back to lean on)

                          Oh yes, starting with bellow hand pain after too much holding of mouse, then regular back neck and lower back pain after gaming and long surfing, then sometimes legs freeze not moving for 10h, happens with all kind of postures even with the correct ones lol... xD

                            I could reccomend few thing
                            1. Dota is by far has the best down time between game. Try to stretch in between
                            2. Never play lean, always straight sitting. If you are floor gaming or bed gaming, go for 10 minute stretching
                            2a. Don't try to crack your neck, shoulder or fingers. As in matter of fact, don't crack anything.
                            3. Yoga and swimming is very helpful. Unless you have your own swimming pool, your only option is yoga
                            4. In bed gaming, never ever go for prone position for full 6. Try laptop stand or other
                            5. This one might be crazy, but don't go gaming for 6 hours straight. Rest at least 1 or 2 hours, then continue
                            6. Eat fruits and healthy stuff. My reccomendation is yoghurt and fiber bar for your snack. Also drink water, even if you're not thirsty. Bring 600ml bottle and it could stay up for 2 lycan match or 1 techies match.
                            7. Try to go out around 7 or 8 in the morning for 15 minutes. Let KotL heal you
                            7a. If you can,'t even go out, find the nearest balcony or window that has straight sunlight.

                                not always but often, yeah
                                having something else than an ikea kitchen chair would be probably helpful in that regard, i don't really like leaning back on this one for longer periods of time because it's rather uncomfortable

                                but i'm not sure what to go for, ergonomic chairs are really expensive and gaming chairs sound like a meme

                                        if those are your only medical problems then u are the lucky ones ; ive got a 100 euro fucked up ikea chair that i put on lowest so my eyes are on the height of the screen so yeah that helps also good for arms , hands etc
