remember to bring shades and a doughnut, and never, ever ever ever look the guy in the eyes.
he will take out a suitcase
grab it without looking at him
but reminded that he will not give in so easily, and he will grab hold of the briefcase harder
he will ask "what you got in store for me kid?"
DO NOT answer. if you do, he will shoot u in the head
he will ask it again, this time in an angry tone
if he attempts to grab hold of you, raise your right hand quickly

come on gimme some serious answer here... i mean skill bracket level with score based. it used to show on dota buff main page now it doesnt
There is no way to check your current DBR. If you have dotabuff Plus, and happen to be one of the best players in the world, and happened to have had stats on 4 months ago...you might be able to see your old DBR category, which in that case would be Diamond.
As for MMR the scale is continuous from 0-100, but it is hidden and probably will remain so until after TI3. At some point this year dota 2 will be complete with all the heroes and I expect Valve will make it optional to see your MMR as originally intended.
Until then the only thing you can see is the bracket category for a particular game. You do this in the dota 2 client on the Watch tab by searching recent games for your name and the skill bracket.
Most games are in Normal Bracket. If you start in normal and win approximately 5 games in a row, each progressively harder you will get to High Bracket. If you keep winning another 5 games in a row, each progressively harder you will get to Very High Bracket. If you are able to win over 50% in Very High you will stay there.
But all this is altered a lot by who you que with. Its possible to play your very first game in Very High with a stack of Very High players. Its possible to actually have an MMR in Very High and que with Normal players and end up in a Normal bracket game.
To really be sure of what bracket you are in you need to play several solo que games in a row and see if you are consistently in Normal, High, or Very High. You may switch between them if you are close to the border. MMR is actually continuous so if you have a rating near 85 on the 0-100 scale you will switch between Normal and High. And if you are near 95 you will switch between High and Very High.
lol Ming, you are in very high bracket as a troll. Must be funny and make 10 successful troll attempts to get into that bracket (see topic by Animal). hahaha.
@Relentless
dude, just want to let you know from just reading a few pages on the forums that you have an incredible analytic mind. may I know who are you? :O
ty
i am now 100% percentile ( rounded up)
kneel to me bronze scrubs i am better than all of u
dbr was fucking awful and i don't think you understand how it works
one way of getting high DBR was maintaining a high winrate while playing against other really high rated players
the other one was stacking with significantly lower rated players
the way matchmaking systems work is that they try to find a game where the chances of winning are 50/50
the way valves matchmaking works towards stacks is that it does not take the 5 players and averages the team's MMR, it's actually severely more influenced by the higher/highest rated players ( which is very reasonable)
and here's the point: DBR didn't do that
so when valve calculated a 50/50 chance, DBR highly favored the team without the really high rated player, because they used the average rating
and if you win games where you were highly disadvantaged you get lots of points
that actually rewards playing with smurfs, too
or just playing with 4 terrible friends
