1) Play captains mode (you can't hide picks the other team might try to pick that hero)
2) MM is built to have a minimum range in skill level, but it doesn't matter... In pro dota lanes aren't placed among skill but position

For the second complaint, I think having MMR shared to teammates is a good idea. Note that you'd still be able to hide your MMR from friends and whatnot - but anyone on your team would be able to see it while they're in a game with you. I think it's a fair compromise, and I follow the train of thought that if you prefer otherwise, you can just fall back on hidden matchmaking. Competitive matchmaking is centered around more information to make more enjoyable games and to motivate people.
You bring up a good point. In dota, you have no idea who your best player (who you most often would want mid). In HON, where MMR was visible, blue/pink would pretty much always go mid, and if not at least teal/gray.
In HON, you'd never see a blue/brown or pink/orange matchup, but it's quite possible in dota with hidden MMRs.

rofl, I pick OD very often, people constantly try to counter me with Razor, however pretty much all of them are too noob to handle my OD^^

I Totaly agree for Hidepick while in AP Mode..
last 3 solo Ranked games seems fine to me..
no throwers/ruiners/very bad players! both teams play good!
i want more ranked games to be sure about the quality of ranked games

AP should not be allowed in ranked mode. This one requirement alone solved many of the issues with ranked MM at the moment.

But then the "Luck" variable will be even more important! I think replacing AP with RD should be enough to fix this problem.
How is counter-picking a variable that ruins your rating? If you're going to instapick a hero that's your own problem. Untick AP if you hate it so much; it's pretty simple.
Oh and luck is a problem! Well I guess Ogre Magi is getting banned. (And PA, and CK, and Jugg, and Daed, and MKB, and Void, and Butterfly, and Basher, and Roshan, and all heroes cause their damage actually varies. Oops.)

Some of use like to play the same hero a lot, i dont have nearly as much games as the Outworldzilla but i could never get bored of rubick :)
i like when they wait 30sec till creepspawn to pick. that means u can freely take a walk trough their jugnle and calmly ward and block what u want. not to mention if u are organised and waiting smoked u get ez few kills when creeps spawn

2) Luck: Will your best player on the team lane against the other team's weakest player? Will your team play their best or worst heroes?
In Dotalicious, the player with the highest MMR had priority for solo mid.
