btw i wasnt srs about garbage Personally i think you are better than lets say lily but she has tits
avoid saying interesting every sentence would be a great step, not too shubby. Looking forward to see more. :P
''i got this game from dotabuff, i choose it because i know this guy has rather high mmr'' hahahah there is a reason why he has hidden profile LOL
vaikiss so good @_@
and believe me you're better than 90% of south american casters
^What he said
Picking/Banning phase: Don't talk about what they should have picked, rather what they could have, you give the impression that you know everything (some teams ban heroes just because they can't play against or with them for example...). Talk about lanes more, try to help viewers figure out who's going to go where and why you think so.
It lacked analysis in game. Item decisions, lane decisions, skill builds, rotations (what? who? why?). Maybe talk about teams' priorities in fights, their general game plan etc.
Just glanced over the video after around 15-20 minutes game time but the most important thing you should do is stop with saying what's better, what they should have done - I can't stress this enough, it makes you sound like an asshole. Don't misunderstand me, it's ok to say what could have been better and argue why to keep the viewers interested and just accept the fact that you can't change their decisions and go with the flow or whatever.
u shouldn't talk about skill/item builds cuz its completely optional to players
like one invoker might go 1 1 7 4
and other one might go 4 0 7 1 in same situation
its fun to watch the cast and actually know what actually happend in the game (teamspeak of my own side)
overall cast was cool but u should definetly switch more between net worth/creep/hero kills , show graphs of exp/gold
also for example that part where bb was using slow on razor actually saved him from dieing there or lich using sacrifices on melee creeps melee creep gives much more exp and is way tankier unless ur creep wave is already pushed alot that is the only reason to use it on range ones
but yeah is good in overall
QTF "17:51 - EmptyJar: anyway he's more focusing on builds and his own opinions than actual action in the game so far from what i see in 20 mins
17:54 - EmptyJar: and explaining obvious writen stuff for new players
18:08 - EmptyJar: ok in fights he;s like 10 times better than sheever
"
id say keep up the casting with some more practice u could go "big" i would definetly watch u instead of 60% current dota casters
also shoutout for supports and lich for throwing so hard in early game :D
Good start, you just need to grab a signature catchphrase and a better channel name and you can snowball the internet.
Well you spam the word balsy alot.. plus you speak to yourself alot, its midly fun but becomes anoying because it gives the impression you are ignoring your audience.
A couple points, you could point out why the Dire team lost and their composition besides armour redux, you left out details like the AOE capability of Radiant and the more all around build from their team in face of better 1vs1 from Dire ( imo ) , the fact that their Alch was an idiot and that 2 Acs wont stack.
The snare from Naga goes trough the BKB, you can see it on the video for instance, or the fact that the OD could have used a MEK, would not have saved him in particular but perhaps made his team last longer and capitalize a few kills on the team fights.
Perhaps explain how the Naga's ulti is important for initiation and team positioning for a fight ( altough i think that was a okish Naga at best ) and how her Diffusal besides the purges also benefits her ilusions ;) or how the ilusions where used smartly a couple times to bait or distract people or perhaps to get the top raxes while they were bot. ( just as an info value because she didn't use her stuff to full potential )
Another point that springs to my mind, OD also did wrong in getting just the bottle and no stuff that enhanced his Int on the early / Mid game, his ult suffers from this, in the end it didn't matter because dire threw the game with very poor decision making in team fights.
Some more stuff.. you said a Deso for Razor would have been better? If so then thats not correct entirely, yes it could have been ok but so was the Sange and Yasha, it gives him alot of attack speed, slow, maim and the slow coupled with his 3rd ability is good for him, plus he had dps for the tower, Ulti + Aga .
You could also explain a bit more of game mechanics for the people and give some insights not just coment the game like a boxing match, in the dead times like when people are farming you could throw in some opinions on strategies and explain some bits.
Not a bad start anyways, gl with your future casts.
Watched some of your cast.
I will simply say you need to work on your camera work. I dont know how the camera guys over at BTS do it exactly, but often they will switch their camera positions by locking in on a different player. Probably switching from directed to player camera, however they seem to do it without fiddling with options. Something like a double click on a player unit perhaps?
Regardless, you use your mouse on the side of the screen to move. What you want to be doing is camera locking when players are roaming, and using something a 4 way arrow function to move the screen. Some players do this in dota when playing, but most don't. Players who do normally got used to the behavior from Wc3 or starcraft.
That would be my suggestion for camera work.
As for all this specific stuff being suggested about mechanics, well if that was really the most important part about casting, then tobi, ayesee and LD would be fired tomorrow. There is nothing that players love more than throwing their "superior game knowledge" at casters to make themselves feel awesome.
Work on presentation first. Then work on substance.
Edit: oh, and if you want to be picked up by a streaming organization, you have to have a "professional" mind set. Mind you, that doesn't mean cursing sometimes is off limits or stuff like that. Its more towards decorum. For example on Lich's second death you flatly state, "pretty bad play from lich" several times. Now that is obvious, and no one is going to say your are wrong, but professional casters know better so say that. It will get them in trouble with fans and players pretty quickly. Instead, you have to do something like replace the word "bad" with "questionable". Basically, you can state that a situation for a team is bad, but you cant say a player is bad. You can infer that a team/player's play is bad, but you can't flat out insult a player or team. You will get called out for it in one way or another.
Edit 2: If you want to be the primary caster, rather than the "pro/flavor" caster, you will have to learn to speak quickly and explain what is happening during team fights. I really don't mind the way you handled it, but for most of the big team fights, you basically just watched it as a player would. "wow, ok this is bad *laughs*" or "This is war, what's with these guys". A professional caster is expected to speak really fast and call out actions by players.
"Good start, you just need to grab a signature catchphrase and a better channel name and you can snowball the internet."
Whenever someone makes a questionable trade (ie a carry killing a support, but then dieing himself), shout "BUT AT WHAT COST?".
Hello Blunt, that was nice cast, just you shouldn't search only for kills in the map or sth. like that. More interesting would be Wards, Map control, Exp/Gold graph. In early game looks like you didin't know what to talk about and thats why you searched for kills in every line, when you don't know what to say, talk about what will be when someone reach Lv 6, what it will change. Good Luck further.
oh i also forgot u should also click different heroes from time to time show their items progression /etc
I enjoyed it and would like you to shout me when its at big team fights and i would like you to not say ballsy so much but other than that i would watch a other. B god pro at doto , pro at casting
Thank you guys for the feedback, ill try to make it alot better on my next cast.
Also my video has some ying/yang shit going on with the likebar :o
from reading your posts i thought u sounded like a nazi or sth, but ur voice is actually quite chill.
Nice move Blunt.
Like the others have already mentioned. You could improve in many many ways like try not to talk to yourself and improve on the camera caption. Also you have to show graphs like every 5 min or every significant change of the game/after team fight etc. Change the stats shown.
Well. I watched the first 15 minutes.
1. You didn't mension anything about warding, how lanes can possibly go for each of the teams, how much is each player getting out of his lane, etc...
2. Sometimes you overuse words like "yeah" "not bad" "so" etc or are just silent.
3. You can draw on the map/screen more. It looks cool.
4. "He(storm) went for this starting build, I dont like it" But why?
Conclusion: not bad for the first cast, you have some dota knowledge(many casters lack that, totally not talking about Ayesee), have space to improve.
Hmmm. Everything I wanted to say has already been said, except for one thing.
During player introductions, especially introductions for people the audience has never heard of, don't try and sound out the names. It takes time, makes you seem unsure of yourself, and in general doesn't contribute to an image of you as a professional. Just throw out something that sounds vaguely like it might be right and move on.
0/10 will change for 10/10 if you dont say balsy or interesting again.
Now seriously the casting is pretty good but try to not say the same thing over and over again.
10/10 for the sexy voice ( well sometimes you sound a little gay ) but its fine :D
Offtopic: I just heard the brazilian casters for the first time, i almost cry. You are probably better than 90 % of the actual casters.
honestly i havent heard any brazilian caster better than him haha theyre pretty bad IMO.
(no flame, i dont watch many streams and very rarely i watch brazilian games so i might be wrong)
Skeat is a good caster. The others are kinda meh. I just don't like the fact that they speak the skill names in portuguese, it's fucking terrible. But I was told that Valve asked them to do it.

Short desc:
The match was very intense and full of action. This match acually shows how important decisionmaking is. This match was also a very high skilled match so new players will surely learn alot of it.
Would be glad if u guys would give me some constructive feedback =D
