I experience the exact same thing, flamed a lot in many matches and lot of people said "reported". I'm sure it's not working atm, love it.
I hope it will stay like this,mute system is really anoying and not a realistic at all. Wtf ppl flames in any games,if you dont like what ppl say you have mute option its simple.
Yes. I also get annoyed when my team-mates were muted. I don't need Valve to decide who I want to hear talking or not. I can decide that myself.
Spamming wellplayed is as annoying as shit talking so no point in muting, next to making games harder for innocent teammates too... I cant get the mute system, even though i hate shittalks.
Yes vael. Throttle pings and chat commands or whatever they call it would be nice. Instead of a pointless mute that u cant unmute if u get it

ALT+S for me to take up scoreboard, then I press the "mute" button.

it'd be nice if the mute command would also disable me from seeing their pings because whenever i'm in lpq from abandoning games i get 3k-4k shitters who keep pinging me to gank their lanes while they go 0-5 in 7 minutes, it's annoying as fuck

the mute system is automated, i'm pretty sure that almost any report still counts towards your mute, whether or not it was valid
i had like 8 reports remaining cause i decided to start reportin ppl that pissed me off, and i kept gettin more and more report uses back
but now i have 0, for the past couple weeks, probably due to the update.
I played with Benao yesterday and he wasnt muted neither, and usually he is too, even if hes not saying anything, got soo many reports earlier, a few makes it for 168hour same as Bogi I think, so something changed. :D
Btw mute system would be perfect if everyone muted STARTS muted for everyone in the game, if you mouseover the mute button you can see something there, like "voice chat abuse" or "flaming" or nothing, and you can decide if you unmute or not. Id like this version.

Report system was broken for the past two months and it got fixed a week ago. The report cap was broken for some reason and everyone had hundreds of reports. They reset the report count of each player, fixed the cap and removed all mutes.
I also got muted twice in a row and I normally never get muted.
i am not unmuted that much anymore cause i stopped playing for around a month...and word says that the mute system gets reseted after 3 weeks... so thats the only reason why! i know they still report me every game even though i dont say shit
Text or voice abuse report is just plain out stupid. For that case you have the "mute" button which should block ALL of the communication with this player and the problem would be solved and people not muted for no reason (which is the case especially in upper mmr bracket, but happens everywhere).

Its like last 3-4 months constantly I was always muted 168 hours, even without flaming just saying smth like `we lost` or smth get random report and again 168 h and etc. But last 7 days or so.. I m not muted anymore and I flame almost every game and still nothing,is same case with you guys or is this just me see that nobody is muted anymore?
