A scrub is a player who is handicapped by self-imposed rules that the game knows nothing about. A scrub does not play to win.

Let’s consider two groups of players: a group of good players and a group of scrubs. The scrubs will play “for fun” and not explore the extremities of the game. They won’t find the most effective tactics and abuse them mercilessly. The good players will. The good players will find incredibly overpowering tactics and patterns. As they play the game more, they’ll be forced to find counters to those tactics. The vast majority of tactics that at first appear unbeatable end up having counters, though they are often quite subtle and difficult to discover.

I have fun getting mmr in my pocket with relative ez rather than making big plays with mirana arrow once in 10 games.

That its great man, but once you are at 4k if you only got there by playing slark and TB once you stop playing those heroes you know that you are going to drop right ?

Sounds as fun as breeding pokemons to get +2 or +3 better stats.

As expected, most players think that picking the right heroes is "unfair" and has nothing to do with skill, and is not fun, etc.
I generally think winning is more fun than losing and raping more fun than getting raped.
You don't win a game by self-imposed "rules". Everyone who complains about other people picking heroes that are "too strong" is a fool, because he doesn't want to win.

If you want to pick a different hero in every game, that's fine, but don't play ranked.

well i have yet to drop a game of tb after the nerfs, been modifying my build and playstyle again to include more aspects of matrice's build

I don't have a problem with the people who spam one hero to climb out of the shit tier. The problem starts when you get bored of the same 1-3 heroes you dominate with and you start losing because you suck at other heroes in your new bracket.
Maybe climbing up while dominating a 10 hero pool would be decent enough to not get insta-bored.

Well, that's one way to get to the top. Still, playing only one hero pretty limits your thinking. In my opinion, playing different heroes all the time gives you a broader understanding of the game, rather than within the means of 1-3 heroes.
(It's probably why I am still in da 3,6k trench, though, but that is another matter)

I'd say tb games have taught me a lot and I think many of pub teams make crucial mistakes at t3, not thinking if it is realistic to fight for tier 3 (I keep in mind the quote of some pro player "that for t3 you need to have at least an aegis and a pipe"). Usually it helps to spam "Get back!" and wait for the right moment when you have the lead and when you are losing then hope that their siege will fail and you can turn the sides easily.

And that scrub comment was a mere joke, just I've never understood this beta male chivalry when you have no honor if you use cheap strats, if you want to win then fucking puppey pause or in a pub game unpause when the enemy carry disconnects(although this might be too low and ruin reputation of a good player) or play hero that stomps. Win is a win.

^ I agree, mainly because is started climbing with rat doto and late game supports. Whatever floats your boat id say.
