Force staff is good, euls ( to some extend , and vs storm and bara )
Ghost scepter, if going to push vs heavy Russian 5 man carry team
And tp. Don't forget tp
Blink dagger isn't good vs. Zeus nor vs sniper if you have bad awareness.
You need to make a decision of what item you should go, not because it sounds cool or fun. A forcestaff would be better than Blink in your last game.
Just buy wat works, not wat people suggests you to use. Also that nature prophet plays in ur last game was bad. I dno how, but I was randomly spectating a guy while watching EG vs DK and I saw your name. Probably you played with some random guy on my friendlist.
Are you seriously buying a 3k gold item for escaping when its countered by a 180g one? WTF You don't buy a fucking shadowblade for escape, you buy it for the initiation, pretty much like dk.
You don't need any escapes really, unless you're playing against specific lineups. You should be pushing a tower with a wave of creeps + 2 wave of treants. Micro two (2) treants to give you vision of the nearby area while you use a third one to drag the enemy creepwave away (which gives you vision too). Your situational necro 3 should provide you true sight to avoid/kill invis heroes, if not just buy a goddamn set of sentries and place them down when you're pushing. If you are aware of the heroes missing in the map and use the vision your treants provide, you should never get caught unless they invest smoke on you. Try to predict the enemy rotation and tp to another lane.
Of course, ALWAYS carry a tp. The fact that you have a built-in tp doesnt mean that it won't be on cooldown. If you tp to a lane and they gank you instantly you can always sprout yourself and use the tp.
If you still need some kind of escape, get a forcestaff which has some utility for the team.
Or you could buy a shadow blade cause being honest even at 4k usually only one support at the enemy team is going to have dust
This " omg shadowblade so noob enemy will have millions of dust " bullshit its tiresome, you force enemy supports to waste gold at dust and if you are good enough you can easily dodge the enemy ganks with shadow blade, plus once you get hex you can gank more easily with shadow blade.
Plus i am pretty sure OP is at 2k-3k range so shadowblade WILL work, dont buy items only because they are pro items or they are cool.
Its the same bullshit that saying that you shoudnt play riki at 5k mmr when i am pretty sure it works like any other hero.
^I agree
Also the Shadow Blade gives stats NP takes advantage of. Easier to gank, lot of burst damage with ult+sb hit, also SB will pay for itself cause you're screwing up enemy economy. Aka they'll probably use over 1k gold to "counter" this "useless" item that they might not even be able to.
Those saying "omg use 3k gold on item countered by 180g" doesn't know how to use shadowblade and probably has no awareness of the game.
Ive played nature prophet from a range of mmr from 3k to 4.5k. In the 3k-4k (yes 1k range), it is usually okay to farm for a shadow blade after a midas. Although this item doesnt really contribute to your teamfight, it really helps you farm 'safely' without being ganked or escape when ganked. Most supports in this mmr range think twice about ganking you when they see your shadow blade. Unless they have an orientated line up like storm spirit etc, they will not buy dust to gank you. Above 4k, shadow blade is more situational. Sometimes you can go for it, sometimes you dont. I would usually just rush midas and necro 3 and split the shit out of em. Use two treants to scout. One treant will be placed behind enemy creep wave to scout in lane ganks and another in chokepoint jungle. Unless they use smoke to gank you, you would be usually fine. Usually you will only push into their tower when a) you won teamfight b) teamfight happening across the map and you rather trade towers etc.
FLYING, can u write properly so we can read what you're writing?
EDIT:
btw if u want to pick a heavy teamfighter u dont pick nature prophet anyway, so ur statement about shadow blade is just stupid
I do agree that sometimes buying necro 3 and just yolo pushing is better, but you need to think about it first
@dd:
No, i'm not.
@Dorkly:
The thing is that you're investing 3000g on an item that is easily countered and that you DO NOT need if you have some basic skills like micro and map awareness, therefore you're wasting 3k gold.
Unless you're playing a ganking oriented build, shadowblade slows your item progression by a lot while offering you very little: For 400 less gold you get a maelstrom which helps you pushing a lot faster and gives you decent damage and AS; 1k more gold and you have a deso which gives you a lot of presence in teamfights and you burn towers down; 2k more gold and you have a sheepstick which gives your team a huge advantage in ganks or small fights.
Shadowblade is a situational pick if you have an active team/mate that engages a lot in the mid game (slark, mirana, viper, etc) because it helps you to snowball faster. TP in -> shadowblade -> hit -> sprout -> kill -> tp out. Other than that is pretty useless on np.
The fact that SB might work against retarded enemies doesn't change the fact that is a situational OFFENSIVE item, but a shitty defensive one. What are you going to do when you notice that your enemy is willing to gank you everytime you try to push because you're pretty much a free kill with that shadowblade? You'd have wasted 3000g.
heh if you say so bro
I bet my ass the you would have a better kda and winrate with him if you bought shadowblade but whatever man
I did a lot. My WR and KDA is low because I started playing NP when I was still new and, while the hero itself is not complex, it requires a lot of map awareness and somewhat decent desition making to be effective, things that of course I lacked being new.
off topic(cuz I dont wanna make a new one): how do you play snowballers effectively? I mean except zues I can't play any snowballer properly. Its like I can't get mommentum at all. I remember I pnce played qop and sucked so bad that I made 0 kills. On paper tge snowbally heroes don't seem hard to play and yet I can't play em properly.
Well my opinion is the same, Raspharus if you want to stomp at your games get shadow blade, unless against bounty or something like that believe me is going to work, people is not going to gank you and they are not going to buy dust ( i bet that only one guy will ).
3,5K i see everygame a storm losing kills cause he doesnt have a fucking dust to kill np.
@Zano, yep you are right, plus i am playing really bad lately, btw if you are stacking with low mmr friends dont play support either man
@Raspharus kill and dont get killed
My fucking friend who is higher mmr than me plays 1000 mmr worse when someone picks a Necrophos for some reason :(
@dd
What do you mean by typing properly? English isnt my first language so I apologize if I dont get my message across. Or are you talking about my format of my reply perhaps?
Understand that this is in the context of a pub game. And esp at this level, there is no dimension of a strat that synergize with your teammates. Sure there might be an ocassional counter but that's about it.
However saying that, I dont get what you mean by my statement about shadow blade being stupid.
well fuck, I hate the fact that my playstyle is passive aggresive. I really need to man up and be more aggresive and not just wait for the oportunity
@flyingpig I think he meant to tell you to not write a block of text. Try to separate it into different lines/paragraphs like you did in your next post.
On topic:
I know a lot of people who don't use SB or other escape items or just get them later into the game. Usually sprout tp suffices for them. That being said, you need to adapt your playstyle. You can't play nature's prophet like other heroes
BKB + TP Vs Casters
Ghost Scepter Vs Melle
Euls + Blink Vs the World
Manta + Necro and destroy towers all day \o/
The move speed on shadowblade helps you escape to. You don't have to wait to use it when the enemy is on top of you and can dust you easily. Just sayin'.
