i dont think its that bad... since they said it themselves that the truesight is still in Beta.. expect more when its official.. they might bring it back on normal users afterwards.

look, its shitty business model to remove a FREE FEATURE and lie about why it was removed just to add it again a couple of years later and force others to pay for a feature that was once free

anyone who studied business, economics, production value or anything similar to it know what i'm talking about.
if we follow dotabuff's pattern on this, we are soon going to pay to look up matchids because "their database is on heavy load" LOL

We've made great efforts to make TrueSight both incredibly detailed and accurate. As a side effect, it uses a lot of computing and storage resources. Parsing all Dota 2 matches (there are sometimes thousands per minute) simply isn't possible at this time. We currently have plans to add great public features based on the data from Truesight, such as new categories of detailed aggregate statistics. Plus subscribers don't only help support Dotabuff, but will also be helping the community by providing anonymous data used for these advanced statistics.

This was on FAQs, maybe this will help why they need to put it only for plus members

Who cares, if they need more people to pay for it so be it, as long as people is paying for it why making it free ?

Lets be honest here, dotabuff plus was really shitty before this truesight feature, i would never pay for it before.

i don't know where to begin, should i criticize your reading comprehension first? despite i gave you history logs of when they removed the "chat log" feature, it does not STRAIN their database. they removed it because it "steam api" was changed which wasn't the case, they were outright saying lies. i don't care if a feature will "be free in the near future" when it was already free to begin with. should i steal your car and say "yeah buddy you'll get it back soon, i just need to work a bit and save up money for my own shit?" fuck no

i know you are brazilian and its very common that this happen in your country, and "who cares", see, if you maybe gave one or two shits about it, your country wouldn't be in such a mess it is today so that is why i choose to care about a FREE FEATURE that was REMOVED and ADDED back just so people can PAY for a FEATURE that was once FREE

Chat logs were previously available for free on all matches because we were doing a basic replay parse for all matches. This was possible based on the way we were gathering the data. When we had to switch to the public API, we lost (and still do not have) the ability to get the replay for every match, which is why the feature went away.

In the two years (!!!) since, the volume of matches has increased by a tremendous amount. Additionally, the replay parsing in TrueSight has gotten a lot more advanced, and is fairly expensive (in terms of computational and storage costs). This all adds up to it being impossible for us to replay parse every match for free.

Did the chat log used to be freely available and now isn't? Yes. Do we wish we could make it available for free for all matches? Yes. Can we? Unfortunately, no.

My biggest hope is that Truesight encourages Valve to finally add more stats to the API - wards anyone?

Then we can easily have it for every match. Right now it would feel weird to just have a chat log for a very small number of matches (seemingly at random). Also I doubt chat log would ever be in the API.

I think truesight should be free
