If you follow dotabuff on Twitter you'd realise that they did a PSA on this. The Dota 2 API doesn't differentiate year beast mode from standard all pick, so there's no way for dotabuff to differentiate
they should probably do time difference, because there are specific time that the beast games are available so any games started between this lapse of time should be beast game :D
Year Beast matches show up as All Pick and don't provide any unique or distinguishing hints to indicate that they're played with the special game mode. Due to the volume of matches played, clock skew of different game servers, and lack of other hints, using the time of the match isn't possible without false negatives - we'd rather be safe than sorry.
TLDR version: they're going to appear as normal matchmaking all-pick matches. Try to win them ;-)
can true sight thing not help in any way to like erm parse the game and see if there are beast?
Combat log isn't provided by the API ??. you could use that and look for "Year Beast" right ?.
dota 2 itself doesn't count year beast games towards win/loss (no stats recorded). Do year beast matches show up in the API as insignificant?

I'm 1-1 so far, but it seems retarded that they count. If 1v1 mid is an "unbalanced" game mode, this sure as hell is
