All about expectations really, when you are fresh to dota there ain't the pressure. After getting into higher brackets you expect a certain lvl of play from your teamates as well as yourself and guess it gets stressful when that doesn't work out.
i have 1 normal game when i stacked with 4 normal skill players 6-7months ago
10-15 high skill games when i stacked with 2 normal people and 1 high skill
back in the days before skill brackets apear well i used to play only for fun and throw and dont care about anything so i guess i didnt pay so much attention to the game.
but as i remember high skill games are less stressfull and more enjoyable By me:P
u play chilled and relaxed :D
Yes, it was fun at first but you soon realise there is a trench ( lots leavers, ragers, trolls)
more stressful due to more dunning kruger teammates and actually myself being dunning kruger. Had a discussion w a normal skill player who insisted that lion is a good carry - that is actually how i thought once as well. pitiful. glad im in 4k cancer now. best trench so far was actually 3,8-4k mmr. people were more focused. 4k-4,3k is very cancerous again.
I threw a lot of games with my 2k friend, now i only get to games with 2-3k teammates. RIP unranked MMR.
From my point of view I can say:
*Games feel more empty and not action packed/intense
*Dunning-Krueger all around. Sometimes you get some 4k that knows how to play.
Example:http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1415039657
Sniper had Aquila and Treads at 30 mins. That's it, he got deso since our doom (4k) found it fun to dive their base several times, I didn't get mad or anything. It was quite funny. But anyways that's the skill level of the opponents.
*Not much for improvement, say what you will but playing in that kind of environment does not teach you anything. I am garbage at storm but like to throw games with him but as you can see it is impossible to be outmatched by them unless your team feeds nonstop.
*Way too much will the enemy give you 'advice', but this happens everywhere though. Like Party mmr 5100 Alch telling you that diffusal doesn't work with lifesteal. hue.
*No one lasthits. No one. Not even the midder, I have no idea what is going on.
*Item choices are from guides.
tldr; quite quiet, not stressful. Just play any high impact mid hero and you basically won.

dotobuff shoud rly fix that very high skill thing, 99% of ppl in vh are actually super ls, so ~
@Ampoule Aquatique
everyone is bad if you compare to top players. VH is best 10% of players in dota2. Average mmr level is between 2.5 and 3k.
Normal Skill is really enjoyable. One of the reasons why I like my 3.2k party is I'll be highest MMR and I'll be able to stomp them since average MMR is about 2.5k when I stack with 2k friends.
High Skill is for me the bracket that really makes me mad. It's not that people are good, I know they suck..
BUt it's just mentality of them I hate..
In normal match making NS and HS is elo hell. If u stay more then 50 times in Hs, u really wanna delete d2 ( i've 52 Hs and 2 Ns).

Thoughts? Is it arguable that normal and high skill is less stressful and more enjoyable?
