i also remember sunzz added me when ranked matchmaking came out, i played a couple of games with him and he would always rage from minute 1 till the end and he's really bad, which would explain why he's been stuck on the same 4800-5200 MMR for 20~ months now. after i played a couple of games with him, i decided to tell him how garbage he is and then i deleted him.

Why do you care, you can just ignore them. Most people who are 6-7k won't even brag about their mmr. Honestly no one cares except you since you obviously remember all these people which is exactly what they want.
There are a lot of high MMR players who dabbled in abuse of some kind, but most of them have moved on from that.
tbh if you ignore them like i did for a long time, they'll just assume its fine and keep doing it until it becomes infuriating

Record since is 55 wins, 105 losses 34.4% winrate.
He has lost 1250 MMR since he started this one, probably about time for him to buy a new one. Maybe that's why he decided to flame people, since he is about to dump this account anyway.

Actually for the sake of clarity that account belongs to a friend of his which his friend plays as much as Wave. I personally along with other members of the Dotabuff community have played on other people's accounts for fun. I have never known/heard of Wave buying an account though he is (used to be?) notorious for selling them.

The world of buying/selling/boosting accounts is not that veiled which is one of the reasons blunt was found out. People know this stuff and I know almost for fact that wave has never bought an account. Just a bit of clarity FYI.
It also pays to note that Waves second main, which I played with almost from the beginning along with Penguin and others back in the day sits at 6K and is still active though match sharing is turned off.
People are too tied up with old mindsets of players to understand that people move, change, improve, and develop over the years.

Every game I have actually watched Wave play he clearly did not deserve any higher than 4k MMR. He was vastly outclassed by typical 5k players. And I know he does buy accounts, and pay people to throw games for him to win, as well as every trick you can imagine to fake his stats. Moreover he has been doing it for at least 6 years now going all the way back to dota 1, where he constantly maphacked. He is completely addicted to having fake stats.

its not even blunt trying to be the "cool guy" here, theres a couple of more apes i've noticed that does the same exact shit in one way or another and everyone unironically praises them for it.
take "vroksnak" as an example, someone who cheated up his own mmr from 5.5k to whatever hes at now by searching CD/CM in ranked with a friend who sits on a low mmr account so they can be in same team and if they are in opposite teams, his friend loses on purpose so he goes up in mmr.
then he also got three smurf accounts and over 2000 games in unranked russia since 2014 where he 5-man stacks and brags about stomping drunk russians who isnt higher than 2k-3k mmr, like how more depressing can this little fucker get? did i mention he paid for his exploit tag to be removed too?
i am 100% sure if vroksnak played ranked solo legitimately, he would be 5000-5500.
then theres "nova", a lot of players from eu who met him said hes at 4800-5200 mmr and that he's the most insufferable toxic player to ever meet in pub matchmaking and they all said that nova insists he must be mid or carry or he'll "feed" which he does after his lane is lost lmao.

worst of all, both nova and vroksnak used a command in the console to pause games in normal matchmaking with a coach so nobody could unpause and the game wouldn't count. this is actually on reddit and you can find it in google, this happened when ranked matchmaking came out. you can see how vroksnak and chris tried to bribe OP by removing their names with rare items and how the exploit worked, instead they got downvoted and laughed at.
