i wish i remembered how exactly they are divided; it was way more obvious in dota1 comparing to dota2.

In the game,when you go to library>heroes.

The ones on the top are radiant, and the bottom section were dire.

ik its possible to see it there, but most ppl (me included) dont use the Library section

Its on dotawiki too, i just remember the lores and if the hero sounds or looks evil i assume its dire. works regularly

It actually used to work that way. All pick if im not mistaken, in some old version of dota.
I also miss random agi/int/str command.

Back when you could only pick heroes from the faction you were currently playing, a good amount of them were a few details away from being palette swaps, if I recall correctly.
