To go up the brackets, you have to consistently play good,
In calibration matches, you can go up +200-500 mmr if you perform well
You can use anyhero to go up brackets, meaning you can play support/carry/offlane/mid and be VHS if you're good
Dont forget, it takes about 120-150 games to play rank,
The longer the game goes, the more exp it gives to lvl up
Opendota is accurate but at least have 50 games, but Dotabuff is superior kappa

I have a 2.4k mmr in another account. So this new one i played mostly support and recently hit high skill. How long should I maintain it? Also predict my mmr please
Anyone can guess my mmr? I used to play rank with my friends who used to play in normal skill. So, if I play with them, i was put in the high skill. But if i played alone, I was put in very high skill bracket. I'm thinking of getting around 4.5k mmr. Any ideas? My last surfing is 4.2k

3.6k at best. Seems to fail miserably in VHS skill games, even when winning still feeds horribly. Performance in HS winrate-wise is shaky, but performances game-to-game basis is solid, can dominate matches and lose with decent stats.
Abandoning doesn't affect hidden MMR, the game is not counted on your behalf only that you lost that game for abandoning, even if your team won later.
However, it lowers your behaviour score, and lower behaviour score = more retarded and rude teammates. You don't want that, so don't abandon your games.
@aryaford Around 3.8k. Your solo queue games are at the border between VHS and HS, but a lot of those are VHS with dots of HS. Perhaps you should start calibrating, the system seems to have made up its mind regarding your bracket placement, better start grinding up now.
You seem to be doing okay in the VHS bracket, even if every hero except Invoker you played like more than 3 months ago each. With your recent Invoker performances right now, I'll say 3.9k because your plays are solid yet not stellar.
