I have tried fireball before, had to play witch doctor because anything more complex would have gone poorly.
Honestly a nice hard ale is the way to go, you can still play (somewhat) competently with a few and they taste good.
Beer is highly reccomended, especially the lower alcohol ones like lagers, whits, saisons, hefes etc. IMO its more fun to maintain a nice buzz rather than get totally shitfaced. If you are new to booze and find beer too bitter, I would highly reccomend sticking with it. Beer can be a rewarding experience with a wide, complex range to explore, if you are into that kind of thing. If you like fruity flavors I'd reccomend red ales, coffee/chocolate then stouts, or for a wheaty profile I'd reccomend lagers, pilsners or hefenwizens. Sorry for the essay, I'm a chef and food and booze is my favorite thing ever. Other than playing dota while drunk.
If you are going on a dota binge, take care not to go on a beer binge.
I always make the mistake of getting a 12 of Miller Lite before a long night of dota. Before I know it I've played 5 crappy games and killed 10 crappy beers.
Alcohol is going to make you sleepy and slower it's a depressant. It's not conducive to gaming. So if looking to chill out just drink whatever you like. If looking to game seriously don't drink.
Beer only tastes awful because there is so much going on that your brain honestly cannot process it. That's why it's an accquired taste. If you keep trying it, over time you will be able to sense and distinguish between all of the layers of flavor and it will be much more palatable and enjoyable.
Unless you've only had shitty beer like miller lite in which case that's why/shame on you
yeah well I don't understand how anyone enjoys straight liquor, that stuff tastes horrible like really bad medicine.
I didn't like beer first time I had it either but it's a much more easily acquired taste than liquor is.
There is no "best" it's all preference. The difference between how the alcohol affects you depends more on external things and less on the actual type of alcohol. The difference is not as pronounced as it would be if you were smoke two different strains of marijuana for example.
But in my opinion you shouldn't drink Fireball over Jameson because one time you laughed more.. Sounds pretty ridiculous actually
I have a friend on steam who only plays drunk/high. And he plays a lot. I understand it may be fun to play while drunk w'e, but how can u do it so often lmao...
His name is huntah. A gameruiner I dont know why I have him
I like to have a beer or a little campari while I play. Helps to relax and calm the nerves so I don't overthink my every move. Any more than that and it ruins my game. A buzz is ok, being drunk is how you throw. also um please drink responsibly and legally etc.
i recommend a desperados, its a tequilla beer, rly good to play games+it tastes super good
don't think any alchohol can boost your in-game performance or focus in any way. i prefer a booster mango energy drink fresh from the fridge or just plain old water.
you shouldn't drink too much fireball anyway it has artificial shit in it, it's actually banned in some EU countries cus it has Propylene glycol. Idk exactly what that is but it sounds bad, it's an anti freeze preservative or something. A little is ok but I wouldn't drink it regularly.
Grab some friends and play the Overthrow drinking game:
1 sip: kill, death, assist
rampage: chug your current beer and start a new one
random, get brewmaster: shotgun a new beer

I'm a beginner. I hear that different alcohols affect you differently. So far, i like whisky, Fireball gave me a good feeling while Irish Whisky (Jameson) was similar but not quite the same effect. I think I laughed more. Or maybe I had more to drink.
Should I try vodka next and throw some games in ranked? Kappa.
