inb4 cr8 so many smurfs still cant calibrate on 4k mmr keepo pogchamp pjsalt 4head elegiggle sobayed
Started early 2014, but had the game on my account since November 2013, just never played it till like March 2014 cause I kept seeing friends get on it, and eventually joined in when Faceless Void was strong, 6.82? I think? Played nothing but pubs for about a year, cause I was scared of ranked. Then tried ranked in early 2015, started at 1.9, now at exactly 4.0, honestly took me way too long. I learned my lesson, team games aren't for me, but solo games I can climb rankings faster, or any team game that allows you to get by on individual skill like Counter Strike and stuff. (of course team play is huge on that game, but still)
At least when you play Counter Strike, you don't have to worry about teammates feeding, so getting global elite wasn't as hard, and same with getting a 50 in Halo 3 (back when people cared about halo) I didn't have to worry so much about "over fed enemies" and games went by quick (not lasting an average of 30-50 mins like Dota matches) so I could get by on individual skill, or get right into another game and get the rank I lost back.
Now, I'm quitting solo ranked for good, just gonna play party MMR, cause party MMR is super easy to get if you stack with amazing players. (which I have on friend list)
But honestly gonna play fighting games more, i'm kinda done with Dota, goal was 4K solo and I hit that, so If I ever got 5K party MMR in the future, it would be casually playing with teammates who carry me. XD
2005-2006 night have been earlier currently 4k Quit playing ranked completly since i notiser no diffrence what so ever from my normal captain games only diffrence was i got en more pissed off when i lost and ofc the ammount of toxic flames increased.
2012.
~2500 (when ranked released I calibrated to 3400 iirc)
> ~5200
2011 created account but started playing more than 1 game a week in 2013 calibrated at 3200 currently at 4400
I started playing dota in 2009. I played -apem in the OLOUS league with Grimorum until I reached the #1 highscore a decided to stop stomping nubs and moved on to Dotacash and Throneit. I got to about the top 5% in rankings in dota 1 my first year playing and I made no significant improvement since coming to dota 2 in 2012.
My highest MMR account was 4.1k. This one is currently at 3.8k. I find if I push it all the way up to max MMR the game is not as fun because I can't play a wide variety of heroes. Overall I estimate I have played over 8,000 games.
Some people seem to think that they will just keep getting better and better at dota with more practice. But that is not what I have observed for myself or anyone else over 7 years of watching dota players. People will get close to their maximum MMR within two years if they play a lot and try to learn. After that you are limited by mechanical skill. The higher MMR, the faster the game goes. At some point it will be too fast for you to compete.
01.03.2014
Pre-TI4
ended at 649 mmr due to lack of motivation
Well actually I think time is a limiting factor as well, it's hard to improve if you only play 10 or less matches a week.
I started december 2012, 3630 right now. I think if I played 5 or 6 matches a day on my top heroes only I'd top out around 3800-4k.
> Well actually I think time is a limiting factor as well, it's hard to improve if you only play 10 or less matches a week.
Playing matches is overrated, it only helps improve mechanically — and that's if you specifically focus on that. If I play too much I just burn out so fast. Even in periods when I climbed super fast, I only played 2-3 matches a day.
Autumn 2015, 2,6k. I played 2 ranked games really early, was disappointed when i calibrated at 2,2k like a month back.
I think late 2013, I calibrated 3.6k here
In decembar 2015 I made one more account and calibrated 4.5k
Currently 3.8k here and going finally slowly but surely to that 4k once again, with 65%+ winrate
October last year, calibrated at 3051, now at 2950.
Played mainly bot games before going into the "real world"
I don't know what I calibrated at either cus they didn't have ranked then. Iirc my first raked matches were 3300 or so high skill
start dota 2011 ,start dota 2 last year , calibrated 4.6k , gt one more account currently 4.8k mmr
2006 for original DotA.
2011 I started Dota 2. Never calibrated that acc, forgot the password. Went back to DotA and shortly afterwards stopped playing at all.
2014 I started using this acc. It was calibrated at 3000 by the guy that gave me the account.
Current MMR: 4.8k
Peak MMR: 5.3k (dropped from it recently)
I remember first time i play dota i can buy aegis with 3 reincarnation charge. Play dota 2 in 2013 for 2 months before i got a job, give up my job start play dota again 2015 calibrated 2.6 now stuck at 3.5k
Calibrated 4.1, Currently 5.4, Peak 5.5
Playing since game came out, playing dota1 for like 5 years.
Played dota 1 casually a number of years ago, didn't get into dota 2 seriously till mid 2014. Calibrated at 1.6k, currently at 3.9k mmr.
started DotA 1 in 2007, begin to play Captain mode in 2008, my team used to be very strong in my area in those years :]] quit DotA 1 in 2012. I comeback to play DotA 2 last year, I play 2-3 games/day just for fun, & my current MMR is 4k1 :)
Calibrated my main 10 months ago - 3.3 k
Now 4.5 and still grinding. Im happy that people are starting to play decently so i dont have to worry about teammates.
started in 2014 calibrated at 2k I didn't even know the difference between boots and slippers of agility, 20 lh per match, now I know shift queueing, animation cancelling, microing, current mmr 2k... facepalm
Started 2012 and grinded unranked to VHS in two years lol, which is a bad idea since I cant even relax at unranked now.
Started ranked in 2014, calibrated at 3.8k and currently hovering at 3.9-4.2k :]
