You should play in captains mode alot. This way you will be able to try different heroes while they are on teams that make sense for them. Just do this till you find a favorite.

As a support player, I have to say Rubick.

+ Good disable which can also AoE stun and clifftrap enemies
+ Nuke that's v good at counter-pushing + reduces right-click dmg
+ Spell Steal. Self-explanatory. Probably one of the best spells in the game if used properly.

But, to each and their own. Keep trying the ones you've never used before, and you might just find your true love.
