You are forgetting the mimibash damage you get from MKB.. Its 160 damage with a 35% process chance..
I added the mini bash in , if you don't add in mini bash ,butterfly has way more dps than a mkb .
But bf also give atackspeed per agility and movespeed active. I love bf is good for dps and tanky. On dusa its even stronger than mkb cuz u dont lose dmg with splitshot. Same for drow with Aura
Of course butterfly is better than MKB for agility heroes because of the attack speed.. But its mostly bought for the true strike.. That too with so many sources of evasion nowadays it seems like am essential item every game..
Just saying it seems like a good situational since you will have some time before they build mkb then force the enemy to build a kinda crappy item for its cost since they will need true strike . Just saying I didn't build as many butter flys before due to fear of the response with mkb's but since both are pretty equal as far as dps goes might as well build it and stretch your advantage while they still don't have one .
Wow yall are being slow ... Ofcourse you build mkb for the true strike and not the damage . I am saying you force the enemy to build an item that isn't nessecarly better than your item when you are fighting them and you still have your advantage vs non mkb holders .

Flutter on butterfly is really good too. Butterfly is probably a bit underrated cus it's build up is so awful. Mostly I go mkb out of fear of enemies getting butterflies and me being useless late game vs them though. Otherwise if you want just dmg daedulus is better.
To me, Unless I'm playing a natural Butterfly Carrier (Like Luna, AM, pretty much the normal Agi carry types) I build butterfly to force out an MKB on heroes like OD who benefit much more from other items. The MKB is 5400 gold, which could be an Octarine Core or Sheepstick, making OD a much weaker character, just to counter an item that is still powerful on yourself. Of course, heroes like Clinkz, Bounty Hunter, and to an extent TA are natural MKB carriers, and you'll want to stray away from Butterfly.
Why would you ever get MKB over other damage items except for truestirke? Crit gives more DPS too. MKB is literally in the game to be a counter to evasion, it should never be your first choice for damage.
I also try do that @EJ Tobias, getting butterfly versus heroes like OD but now he can get that orchid upgrade no, instead of mkb?

Looks like butterfly has similar dps for agility carries vs having a mkb . Mkb has a little more but not much . Plus butterfly gives 4.2 armour which isn't much but enough to offset the very slight extra dps mkb gives . Basically what I am saying is maybe I should build butterfly's more often becuase even if enemy team builds a mkb butterfly still a decent item and only 2 of there heroes at most Dan build a mkb anyways . I might start making more butterfly's .
