average mmr doesnt change. the gap between the very top and average increases (both in terms of skill and mmr), and the players that are able to get 8k, got more time to actually do it. also, the increase in the amount of 8ks makes it simplier for others to get to 8k as well.
Actually the average MMR is indeed increasing because it all begins from the 0 MMR. U see when people with 1 MMR do not lose MMR they will inflate MMR and so that inflation will continue its way through all brackets and into 7k eventually.
25 people that are 8k + 9k miracle doesnt seem that high number to me, but yea there is a shitload of 7k players atm, that came out of nowhere...

Can explain why there was a sudden burst of 8k mmr players on score board? If my memory serves me well, it wasn't that long ago when there were hardly any 8k players. And suddenly boom everyone is fkn 8k. What does this mean? Is mmr getting more skewed? Or is the average moving up?
