team has to picked to fit the tinker's style of the game. U need early game and late game to be covered, so prepare some aggressive hard carries like PA or WK and some supports with control and aoe damage.
I do not play tinker myself though and can not really suggest any builds or skill progressions :(
Try not to hog all the farm. Keep the enemy team on their toes with constant ganks too. Secure tower seiges with march and missiles so everyone gets a piece of the pie. It's pretty much having a feel of managing macro-economy of the team. I always try to leave at least one lane and the adjacent jungle to it open for our hard carry(i even ward that spot if supports dont, if we had any)
I see aghs and bloodstone which is fine,but it's just a damage and sustain amplifier. See I'm not great with Tinker but I'm pretty sure you go for hex, Shivas if u want to make the big plays.
Tinker is good in any stage of the game. Definitly better in late game. But it cannot carry, it will just annoy and make enemy rage. Tinker is cancer of dota

How to win as tinker? I am eager to get any tips and tricks.
Check my tinker stats. I have a solid kda yet an awful win rate. I always end up being "beyound godlike" yet my team 0 100000 0 or smth like that. I have tried both builds: 2>1>3;4 (For early game ganking activity) and 2 points in 1 and 2, max 3, max the rest.

I've spotted that when i pick tinker, i often get some non-carrying heroes as safe lane farmers which turn out to be completely useless in the late game, maybe that can also be a reason?
