Why are the Hero Damage and Hero Healing stats much higher recently? in General Discussion
Flash-

I've noticed it in my pubs, a lot of people doing 30k damage in games like it is normal to do it. Also i broke my healing record yesterday, and my hero damage record yesterday and again today. Something is wrong, also in the game client.

Moreover, if you check the damage/minute stats for this week they are much higher compared to this month, for every hero.

I keep my healing record from 2014. And I still can't beat my XPM record that I set in my first game of DOTA...

My highest hero healing is still as wraith king. Perhaps I am not the best support.

Because people in pubs spin around fighting all the time like DOTA2 is a deathmatch game

Wtf soultrap's highest gold and gpm are with supports

I can concur that I've been seeing the same thing.

48.9k HD on Morphling and 55.5k HD on Alchemist. I normally only see these figures on a Zeus.

Edit: I think Valve's API was giving incorrect numbers (that is, less than it should have been) before, because since the Combat tab was introduced I noticed that the Hero Damage shown often was more than what it showed on the scoreboard. This is no longer the case as both figures now match.

30 games? It was my first game!

Besides, my account is legit, and you are just a smurf. =)

Thanks Salazar, I think that makes sense. I wonder why they didn't say anything about this in the patch, it would be very nice to know it instead of having to investigate to know the reason of the changes.

Dunno about hd but dota update involved smth about making it building damage instead of tower damage

Tinker got almost 100k hero damage.

                        f9

Soultrap highest hero damage 37k with tinker.😂

                          Nakorite

yeah something changed, in this game i did 109k hero damage http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2618483033 which was double my previous best.

                            Oldman

Something surely has been changed since I had 103 HD tinker and 83 k HD spectre yestarday.

I think that hero damage is wrong now and it might not count reductions/ amplifications.

                                >tfw no gamer girl peeing gf

                                  Soultrap's first game? Damn.

                                  garbage man

I've noticed that my healing has gone up as well despite building the same items and partaking in less skirmishes/fights. Maybe I'm just drunk though.

Totentanz to The King: M ...

Dotabuff used to calculate damage after reductions, now it uses the in-game number which is before reductions.

                                      Doubledealer

really? So instead of just raw hp being lost it's the damage before being applied to the hero?

                                        RIP

This quite makes sense, because if you play a high physical carry with , like, a Dazzle/Slardar in team, you'd get an un-proportional damage-done number, in comparison to most normal strategys.
