    So got a i7-6850K, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and a GTX1080....

Any idea why I'm getting 20FPS on lowest settings? :D

I feel like something isn't turned on or isn't installed.....

Shows my CPU at 85% most of the time.

    dunce

i think maybe, just MAYBE, something might be fucky

Yeah that was my first assumption. It might also be bolloxed.

235fps nice. is that on full settings or are you jsut trying to make me feel bad?

          Rocket

ok you can all relax. windows was still installing a driver. we got 200+ fps ftw

Something is very wrong in that case. Is it just dota that does this? Are any of these products new or potentially defective? Is anything overheating? Is performance always 20 fps or does it drop from something higher?

              Rocket

thanks dire - it was that a graphics driver was still being downloaded (was a new install of windows 10)

running 180 fps (got a 180Hz monitor) on ultrasettings now using just 30% cpu :D

i may be a bit overspecced for dota...hopefully the cad justifies the build....

certain a smoother experience than the mac mini i've been running on the last few weeks. that was about 40fps on lowest settings

You're definitely overspec'd for dota lol. It's why I won't actually upgrade my pc from 2010, still runs dota at 60+ fps and I can't justify it.

Wait, aren't you the ex stock trader who wanted pc build advice a while ago? grats on the rig, it's pretty sweet.

yeah that's me. thanks for the advice. especially pcpartpicker...

biggest problem is i have a shitty internet connection so taking forever to install the software i need....

get a better internet provider if its still high ping or change your server to your city.

The issue he had was that the game ran on his onboard graphicscard since his dedicated was being installed. Changing the shared ram from his onboard card won't change ANYTHING on performance, since he most likely has more than enough ram.

You are one of those retarded kids who think they know shit and they don't know anything. Go back to school and stop posting dogshit posts here on the forums you fucking animal.

Make sure you are connected to the right ports, there are some people who accidentally connect their monitors to their motherboard monitor connectors (hdmi/DVI/..VGA). Make sure you're connecting it to the video card.
