I dont see the point in scrims unless the team is so good MM wont be a challenge, but thats hardly the case with a 4,5k avg team

I'm sorry but you just have to get a bit better before trying to scrim and have it work. Play some party dota instead.
until your party is 6k+ mmr average where matchmaking becomes a joke you don't need to scrim.
just queue party ranked.
^ if you wanted to be a serious team and your whole team is 6k+ playing party mmr isn't going to do too much for practice, you'll win 95%+ of games.
so either scrimming, or playing amateur leagues would be the best place to start.
Yes, my solo mmr is 3.5k, but my teammates are +4k and we're playing average 4.5k when we play party mmr.
