I don't see anything wrong with blademail since its damage output is entirely reliant on the enemy hero attacking into it, excluding taunted enemies of course. It's a way to punish the enemy for blindly attacking into you.

It's current state is far more balanced than it was when it only returned damage as pure.

There are ways of countering it. For instance, build a bkb if a significant amount of your damage output is magical or build armor if a significant amount of your damage output is physical.

or just kite the person with spikes and attack when bm is on cd?

I think fire remnant dont get hit by bm. Any example where bm against pure and magic damage is op? Personally i hate bm when im playing timber simply because i never see my hero when im playing timber coz searching for tree xd

I want a game in which all my teammates will build blademail ! Easy win
