This new change, Where you Have to - Add your phone number to play Ranked.
Is The Best Patch of all Dota patches to date.
I suspect that, in a near future 99.9% of all abuse will almost instantly get reduced.
Kids will now actually have to; Think before they speak or type.
Kids or grownups won't be able to just - Randomly Spout, "i'll Grill you IRL".
Everything you now say will be just like the "real world"
you know, wherein a gamer nerdkids (i.e 5k+) 17 ish year old,
would never, ever, open their mouth to most people.
let alone utter "death threats" avoiding conflict, and expecting zero backlash.
Since they now can be Legally held responsible & punishable by laws
not only in their own country,
but also including T3rrorist Charges.
To be clear this is not some "M*word-PC-culture bullshit" Argument.
You still have freedom of speech son.
it's just that Now that bl@ck guy might find you,
And after he kicks your Gamer-ass, he'll beat you Legally in court.
