For quite a long time now, I've just been focusing on completing the all hero challenge, and thus only playing normal, not ranked. However, since the update, choosing the 'Strictly Solo Ranked Matchmaking' option in the settings, I have exclusively been queuing with parties of four on my team in normal games (except a rare handful). I understand of course this option applies to ranked, but why the opposite in normal matches?
Also, I've had good and bad games before this update, regardless of whether I'm experienced or good at the hero or not, but after the patch, I have been winning games almost non-stop (Win-Loss ratio is really good) AND on top of that I'm queuing with 3-4k players despite being a 2k player. Why is this happening and what has changed?
P.S. I'm not complaining though, I'm really enjoying my games now. I see more teamwork, better mid matchups. For instance in my last storm game I got outplayed by the enemy invoker who denied my entire first creep wave (LOL) and they had heavy counters to my storm like silencer and CM, but we still won, and I've never felt that delighted at all the right choices we made as a team.
