I don't know details but it's sponsorship deals. Wings also became team nobody, probably couldn't get the sponsorship deal they wanted, and I know ad finem specifically sought a new deal, thunderbirds must be the same so DC sponsored oynx instead. These kind of things aren't that well documented and a lot of it is secret, but players earn salaries from organizations with corporate sponsors like energy drink companies, gaming peripheral companies etc. I think it's very standard in China and more loose and team by team basis in the west. Like you remember secret can't stream on twitch cus they have some exclusive deal with panda tv or something. EG I know has a comcast sponsorship cus PPD was talking about it in one of his vids and talking about the comcast fiber that got hooked up to their home base/house.

There have been articles written about these. Team Random/Wings released individual statements about their departure from Wings - https://twitter.com/KBBQDotA/status/856138855229120513 . The DC to Thunderbirds, Onyx to DC shifts have been less well documented, as far as I know, and the same re: Ad Finem to mouz- certainly general, generic statements about the rosters and brands parting ways/rosters being picked up by new brands.
