He is the same as he used to be. He's a very tanky roaming hero. He's good at creating space. The reason why he's so effective is because of the lack of CC and damage.
Coincidentially, I've tried picking him recently (yesterday).
He's situationally very strong, but against a line-ups with tons of tp-save-type heroes, he's weak.
He needs early dominance to transition into an annoying racecar spamming skills and giving vision/auras lategame.
If you somehow suppress his dominance, he falls off quick with no way to come back (no farming abilities).
He destroys passive line-ups though.
why no one plays least played mode?
he's super weak but very dangerous during night. the only way to counter him is to wait for day light to come.
Click on the Options Wheel. Dotabuff will change it then to the new Picture.
Thank you x)
This patch was all about ultra-hard carries. Drafting 2 in the same team, maybe even 3, and getting away with it because of Midas. I can't recall any other patch where you can draft Spectre and Medusa in the same game and get away with it.
But because teams were drafting this greedy, it allowed fast-paced lineups to flourish as well, to punish the greed. And that's why Night Stalker was very impactful.
I still like him in his old mid role, but the ganking playmaker mids are now either offlane or niche picks.
Pretty situational. Is a 4 spot who needs to roam like pudge, not really a hero to spam in pubs. Pudge ganks require a lot less coordination since he just rips you across river and u die.

How's he now? I saw VP and SG playing it very well
