the hitboxes touched (no homo) for a moment, at 00:13-00:14. it was enough to initiate the cast.
in order to break it, u need to move further away for 250 units afair (its called buffer range, i think; a similar concept is applied to le famous 450 range melee hits); but u didnt have time to go that far.

look at that timer 11:37 in game and that's exactly 00:14 on stream, does that look like it touched? I drew the lines so u can see it easier.
Have you consider the moment Doom struck his sword down to doom his opponent, when his sword's collision size become so big that it could hit the opponent? or I was mistaking something?
i dont understand why dota has this weird mechanic. and then u get those weird melee attacks from a thousand range away because of this.
