Close all other apps other than only steam and dota
Start > Run > Msconfig > Startup. Disable everything then restart pc
Start task manager, Find Explorer.exe then End process. > File > New task > Explorer.exe after finished playing
I also have a potato pc and this is what I do, and also. overclock
won't you try to lower quility. Currently I play it on i5 Notebook w/o graphic card but still get 40-50 FPS with lowest quality.

Hello brothers. I want to play some doto today if I overcome a small problem. The thing is I have a decent video-card but a pretty shitty CPU. Sometimes I have <10 fps during 10-man skirmishes. How can I improve the fps besides marrying a fat rich lady so she gives me money to buy a new pc?
