I play with a Divine friend that only picks these meta heroes (gyro, razor etc) in full parties. He won't even risk them in his solo queue matches due to lack of comunication so his team wastes those heroes power spikes
If I were to give you and advice is to only play gyro with at least a 3 player party, 5 is better.
Just to remind that this advice doesn't come from an archon scrub, it's the exact words from my divine friend
Take early fights and in good places and you will just roll over ur enemies
And he is good at shutting down offlaners
gogo magic gyro and you'll see him melting roshan than ever
or just take that rocket barrage talent
He has crap starting damage but his spells are pretty annoying so he's not that bad (played against him in my last game, couldn't bully him out of lane). and any hero has it's counters.
He's not very scary though. The sight of many other heroes are more intimidating.
The sound of his attack animation feels underwhelming too.

Really easy to bully out of lane, tends to go “all in” in fights leading to very close escapes or most cases; death.
Pushing towers against hg defense is a nightmare, most cases.
Post-30 minutes your damage becomes really underwhelming. Hard countered by Crimson Guard (don’t get me started on Underlord + CG. You deal literally 0 damage against that.
Mediocre at taking Rosh.
Picking him feels really risky and not worth it, overall. Other pub classic carries can take out objectives easier / bully and survive offlaners more consistently / farm faster.
