VG was a matter of wrong decision making and some pretty unlucky plays, which got them so damn tilted. While vs VP, they lost because Kuku, Armel and the others are scared of doing interviews. Look at how awkward they were. Just kidding, they got tilted as fuck in that second game because they can't do anything and it carried onto the next game. You can see their players keep on palming their faces and sighing. They were doing well in the beginning of the third game though, but after 1 good VP play, after which they still had a chance to turn it around, they're back to zero again. TNC's promising start and disastrous fall is an example of how a strong mental state is a needed asset if you're an athlete may it be e-sports or active sports.
Though, while their tilting is a factor. The main factor is probably the fact that VG and VP managed to adjust to their playstyle. BO1's are different because you aren't as prepared as you are in BO3's.

They dumpstered everyone in the 5-way tiebreakers for first place during the group stage. They won first game against VG in the upper bracket but ended up losing 2-1. They beat Optic and Liquid in the lower brackets' best of 1. They beat Virtus Pro 1st game, looking good... then end up losing 2-1. Why can't they win past the first game? Anyone?
