MMR is super secret now, only known to you, rest of us including third party sites like dotabuff can only see your current medal even if your MMR is way below it only you can know.
They added that so people stress less and play more, bit people stress about it anyway so they might completely remove it and hide it in the future.
What Harold said [2]. Your MMR is NOT visible to your friends and third party sites like dotabuff or opendota anymore since Valve introduced medal system.
For some time Opendota used to estimate your mmr but I guess they have even stopped doing that now.
^ im guessing people rioted over it, my friend who is "stuck" on 2800 mmr got hyped about opendota estimated his mmr 3200, so he spammed soloqueue and dived to 2600, he doesn't play dota anymore because "cancerous teammates holf him back from his destined 3200 mmr estimated by opendota"
