i think there are better heros to fill her role as an aoe disable pushing role that require a lot less farm to be more useful

Go pos 5, buy wand, buy tranquil, buy eul, never stop gank and kill. Kill many and u will work as pos 5... Happened to me
I mean...she can work as a pos5, but seeing how obvious the delays and telegraphs on her disables are (which can all be purged btw)...it's not ideal.
Her potential damage exceeds her disables, this is why early era of her appearance people even took her mid as pos 2

I see people playing Dank Willow as pos4 mostly and going kinda greedy, but I think pos 5 Willow should be actually good. Instead of maxing Shadow Realm + neglecting your support jobs and try to rush aghs or some shit you could just max Bramble Maze as the root duration scales kinda well.
I def would see some synergy with carries that can follow up on the root, like Jugg, Ursa, MK or so.
On 5 Willow I would just go a Bracer, Arcanes, Wand and try to get a Force Staff or Eul's Later, that's all.
Especially siege / push lineups could love an early maxed out 2.5 sec AoE Root every 20 seconds.
