Just get good. As simple as that.
Don't expect to climb rank without improving your gameplay. It's a slow process.
Also, don't use your frnd to boost your mmr, it's just gonna be more miserable to play at a bracket you don't belong.
So to gitaverage is to gitgud, ok then. I also don't have friends who play Dota lmao.
But like also what if the problem isn't me and my team throws, half the time I feel the problem is me. I tried going hard support/supp based on one of the guides I saw and that is falling apart fast, and I can't go safe lane (the one thing im decent at) because queue times are long. Off lane is like the one role i usually play but i don't think thats been helping either.
I honestly can't tell if I'm herald, guardian or crusader at this point lmfao. I definitely do not belong in Legend and above.
Tier 1: high impact
farm efficiently in all rolls. hit medium camps while moving between lanes as a support make a difference.
dont go highground without aegis. this is more involved but as a rule this is solid.
Tier 2 Noticeable impact
-Time fights around item timings (not just yours) BKB on cores is huge. and ward for the fight. even if your highground vision gets dewarded after the fight it will be worth it.
-Build aura and save items on pos 3,4,5. This is dota and everyone is bad. having pipe, crimson on pos 3 or force glimmer on pos 4/5 makes fights easier because it allows your team (and you) more leeway with stupidity
Tier 3 Matters but nitpicking/harder to do
- Prioritize ease of execution in draft. stuns are good saves are good. They can't win if they cant move. team spirit even prioritizes a lot of stuns
-Target priority in team fights. Every bracket has the exact same target priority in team fights. 1. Save (support: Oracle, Shadow Demon core: OD) 2. stuns (Support: shadow shaman, lion Core: Faceless Void) 3. DPS (Sniper, PA, arc warden etc) 4. Tank (Centaur, Bristleback, Underlord)
This is hard as depending on farm tanks with do DPS or build more lockdown but it is a good rule to follow.
Best of luck
Yo man, send me your steam ID.
I can try watch a game and coach you and give you tips.
I am a support player in Immortal bracket but I climbed there by playing pos 3 (which is not my preferred role)
Good luck whatever you choose.
hey galana im a supp player in ancient bracket. can you give me some pointers please? i sent you a friend request
Honestly, just play what you're best at and preform every match you will climb as your mastery of the game goes up.
well it seems you didnt even try, you stopped playing ranked and went turbo instead.
If you want to improve, stop playing Turbo its a whole different game
Just play and watch some pro games it will help a lot I'm ancient and still see how pro players farm blow my mind but u can learn some trick
Honestly the best way to learn this game is to watch your replays, learn from youtube videos or coaching lesson and apply what you learn when watching your replays and then your gameplay will reflect. Understand that it is you not your team it may not be 100% you but at the end of the day it is you. I say that cause an immortal player can play your exact role exact hero and have a huge impact the team can't help but to win.
So yeah watch your replays and learn from your mistakes.
To add to that Turbo won't help, it may help you learn the mechanics but playing too much of it can cause bad habits which will reflect when you play rank the pace of the games are drastically different

Hi I do not know if I have the worst luck or if I'm playing like dogshit, but I wanna try and get into Archon (my end goal for ranked, I do not care for anything above Archon). I have been trying to follow guides on how to get out of Crusader and all my attempts keep falling apart, and at this point I wanna know what I'm doing wrong so I can improve. I know I've made some extremely dumb choices usually out of desparation, but most of the time I'd say I'm okay at best even if the game is lost. The most MMR I've gotten was somewhere around the 2100-2300 range (the most being at 2300 and yet I somehow didn't get calibrated into Archon).
